From the Assistant Principal, Religious, Identity and Mission

Paula Burns

We are Heart People who Touch the Heart of All.

On Monday we gathered as a whole school to welcome Umes,  the Youth and Community Engagement Officer from Vinnies (St. Vinnies De Paul).  His presentation was engaging and informative as we learned about Service and Mission and where our donations go.

As this term our RE focus is on the OLSH PillarWe are Heart People who Touch theHeart of All,the student responses, indicated the wonderful, kind, caring and generous community we are, as we try to live by the Gospel message.

This has led to many initiatives around the school including:

  • Collecting Bread Tags for Wheelchairs - if you have any please give them to a teacher or a 5/6 student.
  • Intentional acts of kindness - where students in 1/2 are 'kindness spotting' looking for people being kind and helpful.
  • Card making - where the students in 3/4 are creating cards to send to the elderly in our community.

As a whole school  we are also asking, if you are able, can you please contribute to our can drive, where every can collected will be added to our contribution for Vinnies Christmas Hampers.

At St. Brigid’s School:

We are Heart people who Touch the Heart of All.

Help us to touch the heart of all by bringing in cans

to help spread love this Christmas
