ASSEMBLY AWARDS
Congratulations to our Somerville Star Award Winners for this fortnight.
CROSS COUNTRY
It was wonderful to go and watch our students participate in the District Cross Country day this week. We definitely had the loudest support crew with our wonderful families turning up to cheer every one of our kids over the line. Thank you to all of you! Our student had a great day, giving it their best shot always!
ES DAY
Our sensational ES (Education Support) staff are a wonderful part of our school. We had a lovely day celebrating ES Day with morning tea and lovely notes from the students. Thank you to our students for helping us fill our ES buckets by writing lovely notes to them!!! What a great way to show someone how much you appreciate them!
PINK DAY – Coming Soon
This year we are going to support the Pink Day fundraiser at Somerville Junior Football Club by donating money to their wonderful cause to help support Breast Intentions. Every year they have a mammoth day in memory of a mum at the club. You will probably have seen signs all around Somerville promoting this day. After discussing it with some of our students that play there we are going to have our own Pink Day, date to be confirmed. If you can dress in pink on that day and bring a gold coin donation that would be fantastic. It can be a little bit of pink or A LOT OF PINK!!!! Look forward to seeing some creations.

Keep up your reading nights and don’t forget to record and show your teacher. Check out the amazing readers who have reached 50 or 100 nights or even 150 nights!!!! Don’t forget you need 40 nights to come to the class reading parties this term. We still have 30 nights left to read this term – YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
