Year 9 Camp

The Year 9 students will be heading off on camp next Monday. They will be travelling to Broken Hill and will be exploring national parks, art museums and learning more about indigenous culture and tradition. We wish them and the teachers a great time. 

Uniform

Please ensure your child is in proper school uniform every day. The students look amazing when they are wearing their uniform correctly and with pride. Some reminders: 

• Blazers are to be worn to and from school at all times.
• To keep warm in class students can wear a jumper and blazer.
• Parkas are an outdoor garment only.
• Shirts must always be tucked in.
• Skirt length must be to the knee.
• Sports uniform for all students during Terms 2 and 3 comprises tracksuit pants, sports top and sports jumper. Shorts can be worn underneath if required.
• Jewellery is limited to a watch and a plain stud or earring.
• Scarves are to be navy in colour.

NAPLAN 2021

NAPLAN is now over for 2021. The Year 7 and Year 9 students coped amazingly well and should be congratulated on the mature attitude they displayed during this time.

Time Management

Term 2 is well underway and the end of Semester 1 is fast approaching. It is important that students speak with their teachers if they need assistance or cannot meet a deadline. Please encourage your child to do so. At home, students should have a quiet space to learn and there should be a dedicated time put aside every night for learning. Students who say they have no learning to do at home should be reading and revising the day's content. To try and balance their lives students should have some ‘down time’ so having a hobby outside of school is also important. A reminder that parents should be monitoring their child’s online time. Students should not have electronic devices disrupting their learning or their sleeping. As you know, parenting is a very delicate balancing act; however, working together and sending the same messages to the students will hopefully encourage them to be the best version of themselves.
