ACU Guarantee applications for 2022 entry now open

ACU Guarantee completely removes the ATAR requirement for a student’s desired course and makes an early conditional offer to successful applicants prior to sitting final exams. This early entry program will consider a student’s Year 11 results and a predicted selection rank will be generated by the ACU admissions team when assessing applications. The offer is conditional on completing VCE exams and meeting the subject prerequisites for their preferred course. 

 

Year 12 students interested in applying are advised to carefully read all the information provided on the ACU website to learn more about ACU Guarantee plus explore the ACU Guarantee application and offer FAQs. Applications close midnight Friday 24 September. 

Joint Medical Program (JMP) Info Session (Zoom Webinar) – Wednesday 23 June, 6pm to 7pm

The Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD - JMP) is an innovative five year degree that will prepare students for an exciting and rewarding medical career. This online session will look at the JMP program and admission criteria, as well as present both locations, the Callaghan Campus in Newcastle and the new Gosford Hospital location.

 

Students will hear more about the new University of Newcastle Central Coast Clinical School and Health and Medical Research Institute co-located on the site of the redeveloping Gosford Hospital, which will be a catalyst for enhanced integrated healthcare, innovation and new opportunities for the Central Coast and will help drive the Coast’s economy, create good jobs, attract new talent and investment, improve healthcare and link the world’s best medical education and research to the Central Coast. Crimson Education: How To Get Into Oxford, UCL & Top UK Unis – Wednesday 23 June at 6pm

This Crimson Education webinar is an introduction to UK universities, and the benefits of studying in the UK over Australia. Hosted by LSE graduate & UK Admissions Strategist Shihui Pang, and recently admitted Oxford Law student Evina, you will learn exactly what you will need to prepare in order to complete your UK application. Monash University on-campus experience: Do it with DATA: Tackling Climate Change – Tuesday 29 June, 9am to 3:30pm

This Monash Science event is the place to start for students keen on combining their interest in maths with their passion for sustainability. Offering an on-campus experience with activities and workshops, ‘Do it with DATA: Tackling Climate Change’ will reveal how the power of information can be harnessed to reverse climate change and champion a healthier world. Prerequisite: It is recommended that students must be currently studying or have completed Mathematical Methods Units 3 & 4. More info about this event and bookings here.

The Push Youth Music Organisation: Music Careers Expo at Collingwood Yards – Tuesday 29 June, 10am to 4pm 

If you’re in high school, love music and want to pursue a career in the music industry, this Music Expo is for you! Presented in partnership with Ableton, Australian Institute of Music, JMC Academy, Collarts, Box Hill Institute and RMIT University, this free, one-day event will provide you with insights and information on how to get a start in the Australian music industry and the various career paths that are available to you. 

 

Featuring keynote presentations, workshops, panel discussions and more, our Music Careers Expo is a fun and interactive way for you to learn about the various professions within the music industry and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with education and training providers who can provide you with tailored advice. Experience ACU Melbourne – Tuesday 29 June, 9:30am – 3pm

Join this free ACU event to gain an insight into life as a ACU Uni student. Experience ACU sessions are tailored to your study are of interest. While on campus, you can participate in hands-on workshops, meet staff and current students, and learn about industries and careers while soaking up the campus atmosphere. VU Campus Tours running between Monday 28 June to Thursday 8 July

The Victoria University Future Students Team are excited to offer guided campus tours across multiple VU campuses in the school holidays. On the day, students will be welcomed by a Future Student Adviser who will share a short presentation with the group before they begin their tour with a current VU student. During the tour they will:

  • Explore VU’s state-of-the-art facilities, including laboratories, gymnasiums, classrooms and tech innovations
  • Check out the campus cafés, libraries and shared spaces
  • Learn all about studying one subject at a time with the VU Block Model; and at VU Polytechnic, with their hands-on, award-winning Blended Learning model
  • Find out why VU are the No.1 university in Australia for employability.

All campuses are easy to get to by public transport. Students can choose to attend multiple tours across Footscray Park, Footscray Nicholson, St Albans, Werribee and City Queen St. Parents and guardians are also welcomed to attend.

Take a tour of the Monash University Science Precinct in the June/July School Holidays

These tours run by the Faculty of Science are a great chance to visit the Monash Science facilities and student spaces for senior students wishing to take a closer look and see what they could be studying next year. Get a feel for campus life and have a chat with some of our science students and staff. Monash staff will also be available to provide course advice and help with questions about studying Science at Monash. Register here.
