Art Room News

Hello RHPS Artists,

It has been a fantastic week seeing so many keen senior students coming into the art room to complete artwork and take a huge amount of pride and care in their art.

The Grade 5/6 canvases look AMAZING!! If you are at school, come and have a look at the art room walls. The talent, care, colour and unique work is mind blowing. All of the students have worked extremely hard and I love hearing how 'happy' and 'proud' they are of themselves.

The Grade 3/4  students have completed forming their beautiful clay creations and these will be fired shortly to then be glazed. We are now continuing on our collages and they are just brilliant. Creativity galore!! I cannot wait to share these with Pete Cromer, our artist of inspiration for this term.

Last week a notice went home about an up coming Zart Art Competition. If your child wishes to enter artwork from home, the details are below for you to enter their art. Many students have shown interest in entering their school made art from this term and I will endeavor to enter each and every one.

Have the most wonderful week and KEEP CREATING!

Mrs. Granger

Dear RHPS Families,

Calling all AMAZING RHPS Artists!!!

A student art competition has just been advertised by Zart Art.

If your child has a passion for art and wishes to create or has made a piece of art at school or home in the past 12 months, they are eligible to enter their artwork into this fantastic competition.

The details are below, and the easiest part is that it is a digital competition. Meaning you only need to send a picture and a few details to enter.

The theme for the competition is: OUR CELEBRATION OF AUSTRALIA and the prize is a $250 Zart voucher for the student and a $450 voucher for their enrolled school.

Our Grade 3/4 and 5/6 students are currently creating artwork with an Australia theme, so I will be able to enter a few student’s artwork, but if your child is creating at home, please feel free to enter their artwork. It is only ONE entry per student, so if you enter from home, please let me know, so we do not double up entries.

I will ask your permission before submitting any student’s artwork from school.

To see the full competition details visit: https://www.zartart.com.au/zartstatic/page/student-art-prize and see the details below.

If you have any question please feel free to contact me.

Keep Creating,

Mrs. Granger
