Learning Intentions and Success Criteria
This year we are part of a Learning Collaborative with a number of other Catholic schools which involves professional development opportunities inspired by the work of Dr. Lyn Sharratt with the aim of improving teaching practice. As part of this work, our staff has been working on Learning Intentions and Success Criteria. You may have noticed these in our daily/weekly planners during remote learning. They will also be visible in each classroom when we return to face-to-face teaching and learning.
Dr. Lyn Sharrat (2019) tells us “It is critical that teachers and students make the links to real-world relevance so that students not only know what they are learning but why they are learning it.” At St Bridget’s we are working to ensure we implement this philosophy in all our teaching.
Below are some examples of the Prep and MLC Learning Intentions and Success Criteria for Writing.
