FOUNDATION -AROUND THE TRAPS 

Well done to the Foundation students and Naomi on a wonderful SAKG lesson! Her lesson linked perfectly to our inquiry of how seasons change and how living things change. Students are very excited about growing broccoli! Look out for photos next week.

Literacy

This week our shared text is Rosie’s Walk. A funny story about a hen (Rosie) that is unaware that a fox is after her as she takes a walk around the farmyard. She manages to lead him into one accident after another! We have worked on a story map that tested my drawing skills - luckily Therese turned up at the right time! This week we will also look closely at the language orientation (understanding the author's word choice), a word study and then attempt our own patterned writing. 

Maths

This week we are continuing our focus on patterns with new activities to help our understanding, for example, students will create a new pattern using shapes, counters or blocks and then move to the next person’s spot to continue their pattern.
