PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Carly Avery

We hope that our new look newsletter has found its way to your inbox. Any feedback on this new format would be appreciated via the office.

A reminder that our Parent and Child Reconciliation information session is tonight at 6:00pm, at the school.

Staffing Update

Brooke Whelan will be finishing up officially working at St. Joseph’s in the next few weeks. Brooke will be focussing her time and energy on completing a Bachelor of Education. We wish Brooke all the best as she undertakes this next step, she will certainly be missed by our community in the range of roles she has contributed to.

I am pleased to share that Jason Tepper will be stepping in as Learning Support. Jason has done some casual work with us over the last month and will be a great addition to our team.

Teaching and Learning Focus

As we begin our focus on preparing students for the sacrament of Reconciliation, all classes are focusing on Sacramental Units of work in Religious Education. Schools within the Sandhurst diocese follow the curriculum, ‘Source of Life’, for religious education. These units have recently been updated with contemporary teaching and learning activities.

Parent Engagement

Thank you to those junior parents who have volunteered to help out in classrooms. Please contact the office if you would like to volunteer and were unable to attend the information session.
