Annual General Meeting- President Report

The Parents and Friends AGM was held on Wednesday 6th March. With a new year we had to say farewell to a couple of committee members, notably Naomi Eggestone. Naomi has been an extremely critical part of the P&F for the past 11 years, so she will be extremely missed. This made way for new office bearers. They are as follows;

General committee members - Peita Sleeth, Narelle Woods, Tina Kennedy, Rebecca Smith, Sharna Sibio
I am very much honoured to be President again this year. The committee members are all fantastic people, each bringing varied skills and new ideas, I look forward to being inspired by them this year. My congratulations to everyone elected on the P&F, and a big welcome to our new members.
Peita, Narelle, Tina, Rebecca and Sharna are an exciting addition to the committee, as with fresh eyes brings new ideas.
The P&F is very important to St Mary’s, as it helps us raise significant funds to assist our school to grow and become even better than what it is. As we move into a new year it is timely to remember that as a committee, we give up our own personal time for our children and the school and we ask that families support the events the P&F propose each year.
Please take the time to fill out and submit the Caremonkey request form, so as we can plan and organise all of our proposed events. I would also like to encourage and welcome anyone to attend any of our meetings, to discuss any ideas you may have with us.
The next meeting will be held on the 1st of May, 7pm in the school staff room.

Easter Raffle -drawn 3rd April, prizes for all classes
Bunnings BBQ - Saturday 6th April
Mothers Day Stall - Wednesday the 8th of May
Mothers Day morning Tea - 10th of May
Kids all in one disco – May 31st from 6-8pm. Theme is ROCKSTAR
Family pie drive – June 26th delivery date.
Fathers Day Stall - Wednesday 28th August

NEW -Easter Raffle
Our Parents & Friends Association are running an Easter Egg Raffle and are asking families to donate an Easter related item eg Easter eggs, Easter wrapping/bags, Easter colouring books, decorations... All donations can be placed in the classroom office tub or delivered directly to the school office before Friday 29th March.
Each family will be sent home a small book of tickets and are asked to sell both sides of the tickets and include name and phone number. Raffle books will be sent home by the end of this week.
There will be a variety of prizes for each class and the raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 3rd April.
This is a fundraiser the P&F run annually, however due to the fete in 2018 we did not hold it last year.
