Parent Teacher Interviews & Student-Led Conferences

Mid-year interviews are coming up. These are a great opportunity for parents to discuss with the teacher about their child's progress and insights into how your child is being supported or might be supported further. For students in Years 4-6, they will be leading a 3-way conference between student, teacher and parent. This is an opportunity for students to build a sense of ownership and responsibility for their own learning and also to celebrate and highlight for parents their proudest achievements. Students in earlier years are welcome to be part of the interview but there is  no requirement and no formal role for them currently.

Booking slots for teachers will be open throughout the final week of school based on teacher availability, with later slots available on Tuesday June 25.

Bookings will open on Tuesday June 18 at 6pm through Compass.

Well done, Runners!

Congratulations to the students who represented our school at the recent Division Cross Country. The step up in challenge and competition is especially noticeable at this level and each of the students (Sienna, Lenny, Willow and Flick) all acquitted themselves admirably.

Well done, guys!

Holiday program

A reminder that the holiday program will again be operated by TeamKids during the school holidays. They offer a range of activities throughout the two weeks, with onsite games and activities running some days and excursions on others. Parents can choose which days to attend.

Update: Mrs Davis

Just a quick update on Mrs Davis who is recovering following her surgery. I have spoken with Fiona and she is in good spirits and recovering well. Please note, Mrs Davis has elected to extend her leave period to ensure that she is fully rehabilitated when she returns, so Mrs Anne Sharkey will continue in her place teaching Reading Recovery through Term 3.

We wish Fiona all the very best in her rehab and can't wait to see her back here soon.

Good Luck Mrs Chandler

Mrs Chandler celebrated her final day teaching today before heading off to start her new family. Congratulations to Caitlin and Luke, we can't wait to meet the newest addition to our community.

Mrs Kate Seyer and Mrs Jorja Trewella (nee Kennedy) will be teaching Prep C for the rest of the year.

Parenting resources - Positive Education Workshops

It was great to be part of our first parent workshop for Positive Education this morning. A huge thankyou to Edwina and Mel for running the workshop and the parents who attended. It was a great example of how a school community can bring together people from across the community to all think and share ideas about how to provide the most nourishing and beneficial environment for their children. Today's topic looked at Gratitude and shared some ideas for what this looks like in the home and what the benefits can be. I highly recommend attending future workshops. Keep an eye out in the newsletter calendar dates for future sessions.
