Junior School Council

Thank you to all the families who supported the JSC Cake Stall. There was lots of yummy treats available to purchase and lots of excitement in the air as students chose their items. Special thank you to all the families who donated the treats to be sold. Well done to all our Junior School Council members for their wonderful organisational efforts in bringing their idea to a successful outcome!

There are still a few treats leftover and these will be available for sale on Friday 28th June at recess. If students would like to purchase an item please bring along 50c to $1 to the Multi Purpose Room at recess.

Regional Cross Country Report

On the 19th of June Nate Warrin, Bridget Brown and Declan Lowden all travelled to Winton Motor Raceway to run the Region Cross Country. Nate ran in the 9/10 boys and he finished 46th out of about 80 kids. Bridget competed in the 11 girls and finished 15th, and Declan ran in 11 boys and finished about 30th. We all ran as hard as we could. The race was very challenging. The 9/10 race was 2000 metres and the 11s was 3000 metres. We really enjoyed the day.

Uniforms

The cold weather is definitely here to stay and we encourage all students to dress appropriately for the weather. We have noticed quite a number of students coming to school in the mornings with no jumper on. This results in these students complaining to teachers about being cold and taking longer to settle in class. Please ensure students are dressed warmly.

During the day as the weather warms up it is understandable that students remove their jumpers. Please make sure all jumpers are clearly named so that they can be returned to students if lost.

Lost Property

We have a number of items in lost property at the office, including 3 watches. If one of these may belong to your child please contact the office with a description.

This is also a good opportunity to remind everyone that all items should be labelled with the student's name. This allows us to return lost items promptly. It is also a good idea that valuable or sentimental items aren't brought to school due to the risk of being broken or lost.
