Classroom News - Year 3

Online Learning

With the new turn of events which have occurred we have all learnt to adapt to the new normal very quickly. We would like to thank all parents and students for your patience and assistance in getting our Google Classroom up and running. We are working towards using Zoom meetings more to allow all students the opportunity to ask questions and learn new materials.

The Year 3 teachers are busy working behind the scenes on creating lots of fun interactive materials for you to engage with from home and we are always excited to see you asking questions and showing us your work.  We miss seeing our beautiful classes everyday but look forward to seeing you online.

Big Write

Year 3 had their first Big Write in Week 8. Everyone had some amazing ideas and it was great to see all students giving it their best go.   Our focus for our Week 8 Big Write was using WOW words and following the narrative structure. The students should all be very proud of how they did and we are excited to see more incredible writing from them soon.

National Day of Action

On Friday 20th March Year 3 came together and talked about the important issue of bullying as part of National Day of Action. We looked at the different types of bullying, how we can stop it and why it is not ok. Students became experts on their selected type of bullying and presented their findings to the grade to help inform all of us of ways to remain safe in and out of the school community.

Activities in Action

Some moments from when we could all come together.

Happy and Safe Easter

Miss Outridge, Mrs Croft and Miss Limen would like to wish everyone a happy, safe and holy Easter break. Although it will be different from the holidays we have had before we hope everyone enjoys their time at home with families.  We look forward to everybody's safe return whether it be online or at school in term 2.
