Late Collection Of Students

$54 Fee

Homework Club supervision of students in Years 3 to 6 finishes promptly at 5:00 pm from Monday to Thursday. There is no Homework Club on Friday afternoons and Main Reception closes at 4:00 pm. Students who are not collected by these times will be taken to Outside School Hours Care on Gregory Street (Gate 2) and charged a $54 fee. Please ensure you collect your child/ren on time to avoid this cost. 

Years 4 and 5 Outdoor Education Program

Next week, students in Years 4 and 5 embark on their Outdoor Education Program in Mapleton. Communication about schedules, activities and what to bring to camp has been uploaded on Parent Lounge and shared during the information session in Week 4. Please contact your child’s teacher for any further clarification about the camp. Further, Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. McFarlane will be in their classrooms from 3:15 pm - 3:35 pm on Monday 7 March to collect any necessary medication from parents. We wish all our campers a wonderful time, experiencing new adventures, building resilience and making memories with their friends and teachers.

Clean Up Clayfield Day

This week, Primary students, led by the Green Team, will assist with Clean Up Clayfield in support of Clean Up Australia Day. Clean Up Australia Day inspires and empowers communities to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment. We encourage all students to help clean up their environment, whether it is at home, a nearby park or a beach. Clean Up Australia Day is nationally recognised on Sunday 6 March.

Excellent Start Workshop

Pre-Prep to Year 2

Early years parents are invited to attend an Excellent Start Workshop on Tuesday 8 March from 8:40 am - 9:30 am in Room 138 (top level of Primary building) with Mrs. Corness. The session will share ways in which you can support your child at home with reading, writing, spelling and numeracy. Please register your attendance via the button below.

Year 6 ‘Peer Power’

On Wednesday 9 March, our Year 6 students will be engaging in a ‘Peer Power’ workshop. The session will focus on ‘friendship upskilling’. The learning goals for the students are to recognise, understand, identify and apply positive friendship skills. That is, being adaptable, flexible, managing oneself and having cultural awareness.

Parent/Teacher Interviews

Pre-Prep 

On Tuesday 22 March and Thursday 24 March Ms. Simone Sullivan will be conducting Parent/Teacher interviews in the Pre-Prep classroom. This is a valuable opportunity for parents or carers to connect with Ms. Sullivan and share in their child’s progress throughout Term 1. Please refer to the attached communication for details and booking instructions.

 

Prep to Year 6

On Tuesday 22 March and Thursday 24 March, students and parents will be engaged in conferences with their core teacher. The purpose of these meetings is for all involved to reflect upon Term 1 and set student goals for the year ahead. As there is no interim report this year, we are excited to be offering these conferences as part of more meaningful feedback and feedforward process. Primary Assembly - Thursday 24 March

Students chosen as Class Leaders for Semester 1, the Student Representative Council, the Green Team, Chapel Monitors and Music Captains will receive their badges or certificates on this date. The assembly will take place in the Chapel from 12:20 pm - 12:50 pm. Year 3C will be the presenting class.
