~ Do all that you do with love ~

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends of St Therese's Primary School,

This week, we celebrated our beginning of the year Liturgy. We gathered online to focus on our call to follow Jesus and the example of St Therese of Lisieux through our actions towards each other, our families, and the wider community.

We used this time to pray that the experiences of the last two years may give us courage and strength for the year ahead as we focus on this year being a time for personal, spiritual, and academic growth.

We heard the Gospel reading from Matthew chapter 25, verses 32-35; 40, where Jesus taught his disciples to welcome and include everyone no matter who they are. As a school community we paused to think about how we can be inclusive in our day-to-day lives as we play, speak, and learn with one another with kindness and respect.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, our Year Six students were presented with their leadership badges. They have been asked to wear these badges with pride as they model the school-wide expectations of Respect, Responsibility, Courtesy, and Cooperation to the younger year levels.

The Leadership Teams of Communication, Environment, and Social Justice/Mini Vinnies were also announced. Last week, those Year Six students who were interested applied for a place in one of these teams. I was pleased to announce the following students who will now make up the Leadership Teams for 2022.

Congratulations to all our Year Six students and we wish you a wonderful year ahead.

I hope you all have a terrific week!

Yours in partnership,
