Year One/Two News 

All the Year 1/2 classrooms have been learning what successful partnerships look and sound like. In our Respectful Relationships hour this week students had the challenge of carrying an item from one place to another with a partner. Sounds easy enough doesn't it? However students could only use a part of their hand, such as their palm or finger. Communication and patience was an asset to successful partnerships!

Of course, these skills are used every day in the classroom during learning activities such as 'buddy reading' and maths games. It was so good to see students working with each other, especially when they partnered up with a different student than they would usually work with.
