Principal's Report
Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends of Nazareth
Our Community remains optimistic that the quest for the new normal is on track. Our staff and students have thoroughly enjoyed the certainty surrounding face to face teaching and learning. Together, we have been able to participate in many events as we did in the past. This would not have been possible without the planning and extensive risk management process. I thank the College staff and COVID team for their work in minimising foreseeable risk, and maintaining all the pandemic regulations.
In the near future we hope to hold our outdoor House Swimming Carnival, Taster Days and the College Open Evening. These events will be modified to ensure that the risks are minimised and all regulations adhered to. Some families may be excluded due to their vaccine status, however, it is our hope to keep you informed through other mediums.
The College Building Program continues in earnest and the teams of workers are on schedule with each project. I have included some of the latest photos for your perusal.
I thank families for the patience both in the morning drop off and afternoon pick up. The process has been improved immensely since the start of the school year and it is our hope that the new procedures continue to improve. Please note that parents and guardians wishing to collect their child/children from the Shelton Crescent school gate are able to do so. Please also be aware that you will not be able to drive into the College grounds from this gate as it is only a pedestrian entry/exit point.
Finally, we have received our next allotment of Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) for our students for use in the coming fortnight. We hope to distribute these to all students on Friday (or Monday for VCAL students). I encourage students to test yourselves on Tuesdays and Thursdays and follow the protocols of informing authorities and school in the event of a positive result.
Please continue to keep safe.
Mr Sam Cosentino
Principal
