Teaching & Learning 4C

It has been a fantastic start to the year in 4C! We are having a lot of fun and doing a lot of learning too. In the last few weeks we have been developing our narrative writing skills and learning how to use punctuation marks, like apostrophes and talking marks, correctly in our stories.
We are also enjoying our Year 4 maths groups where we have been focusing on Number and Place Value concepts through games and other activities. In Reading, we have been learning to make connections to a text. We have talked about text-to-self, text-to-text, and text-to-world connections. Last week, whilst reading our class novel ‘Matilda’ by Roald Dahl, we drew and described a connection that we had made to the text.
It has been great to see everyone in 4C building strong relationships with each other and showing how respectful and responsible they are. I foresee a wonderful year ahead for us all!
