WELLBEING NEWS

On Friday 18th March we acknowledged the National Day of Action Against Bullying in Violence. In class students explored the message "Kindness Culture: It starts with you."

Our Juniors explored how small acts of kindness can have a domino effect and flow on to other people. Check out some of these ways you can "be the first domino."

This week we are also exploring and celebrating inclusion, diversity and anti-discrimination with Harmony Week activities taking place across the school. Yesterday students enjoyed a picnic lunch in house teams to get to know students from other grades. Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates throughout the week.

Today the seniors explored "A Kids Book About Racism" by Jelani Memory. (This is a great one to read/watch at home to start conversations.) We then started working on a display celebrating all the ways we are unique and different.

Parenting Tips

This week's Parenting Insights article is titled "The language of respectful relationships." This is a great read, especially this week as our conversations centre around inclusion, diversity and anti-discrimination.
