Positive Education @ Anson

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)

Words can be mean, keep them clean!

For the rest of the term we are all focusing on using positive words and being kind to each other. Words can be hurtful and make people upset and swearing definitely is not cool. We are encouraging respectful language, kind words and positive praise during class, on the playground and during sport.

Positive Wellbeing for Learning (PWL)

Last week was a busy week full of many acts of kindness as we celebrated National Be Kind Day. The theme for this day was BE THE CHANGE.

Every day children, young adults, & adults are bullied online, at work and at school. Up to three young people EVERY week are ending their lives due to bullying. Being Kind is about generational change. Our children will follow if we show them that kindness comes first. Think kind, act kind, be kind!

As part of our celebrations, we have pledged to log 250 acts of kindness at  https://kindnessfactory.com/.

Regardless of how big or small your act of kindness is go to the website and log it under Anson Street School and let's try to reach our goal by the end of term!

We also celebrated Bullying. No Way! Day. with the theme: Kindness Culture - It starts with you. We created a kindness rainbow, where every student and staff member coloured their handprint and put them together to create a giant rainbow of kindness. Stage six also created a great display of "being the I in KINDNESS".
