From the Principal

The term is flying past and although we haven't been able to have our welcome to families BBQ as planned, we hope to have an open day early in Term 2. 

COVID continues to play havoc across our school community and in Orange and we have had many students and staff impacted and having to isolate for the 7 days. At school, we are continuing to wear masks when moving around the school and using lots of sanitizer to ensure the highest levels of hygiene.

The last 3 weeks have been packed full of amazing learning experiences and as I wander around the classes, it is wonderful to see the students engaging in their lessons and coping with the changes staff shortages bring. I would like to thank our wonderful casual teachers and SLSOs for stepping in as needed and to the staff at our school for being flexible and always positive in their approach. 

As Autumn sets in, please ensure that you pack a jumper for your child and if you need help with a uniform for Winter we have a clothing pool at school and can help with the purchase of items if you have financial difficulty. You can contact me to discuss this further or if you feel comfortable raising it with your child's teacher,  please have a conversation. 

Parking at our school has improved greatly with the opening of the Campus Transport. If you are visiting our school, please feel free to drive through the campus transport and park on the grass (which will soon be gravel). 

Greater Bank - keep voting so that we can be in the running for the $3000 prize at the end of the month. You can vote once every hour. 

Walk for Autism is coming up soon and quite a few of the staff have joined the Anson All stars team to raise $5000 in funds for people with Autism. If you are able to sponsor us please go to the website, scroll down and go to Workplace Teams. Look for Anson All stars. 

Holidays will be upon us in a few weeks, so I wish everyone a wonderful Easter and holiday break.
