Before and After School Care

At Maramba, we have a great before and after school care program for our families to access every week day from 6:30am to 6:00pm. On school Curriculum Days, they offer a day program if enough families book to use the service.

Set up in one of our gymnasiums with canteen / kitchen, students have access to some great facilities, large indoor play area, climbing wall and basket ball hoop.

TheirCare run a great program offering fresh food, arts and crafts, indoor and a outdoor activities and play to make sure all students are happy and fun. They also support students with home work.

This week at Maramba Ps TheirCare our theme was Superhero Week! This week was short with the Queen’s Birthday on Monday but has been jam packed full of Superhero themed games, activities and crafts. We created personalised masks, did colouring sheets of our favourite heroes and an i-Spy activity, we made hero cuffs, bookmarks, and Wanted posters for all the children. We played a hero version of Wink Murder, and player Superhero charades.

Our space has seen new games, some new furniture, some new books, and a bit of a reshuffle. The children have enjoyed reading some of the posters, identifying the emotions on the Inside Out wall, and starting to discover some of the Auslan Alphabet. It has been wonderful to see the children continue to take responsibility and ownership of the space and start to really be proud of the room. Parents have loved seeing their children’s faces on the walls.

The girls have LOVED the new dolls house. Some of the younger ones can nearly fit in it themselves.

We are looking forward to Disney week next week!

As always, the children also engaged in spontaneous play such as jigsaw puzzles, playing with the toy cars and LOTS of colouring and arts and crafts.
