Term 1 Wrap-Up
Special thanks to the whole school community for your support and understanding as we reach the end of a difficult term. Over the later half of this term COVID and the Flu has seen more than half our staff sick on some occasions and many students have been absent.
We hope the vaccation period provides an opportunity for some rest and recuperation, and for those who are currently ill, to rest and get well. We dearly hope to see everybody back together at the beginning of next term.
Despite the challenges this term we have been able to provide students with a significant amount of learning opportunities. In the last weeks we have had Dinosaur Incursions, Soccer Clinics, Winter Sports, trips to the theatre, particpation in the local Tanjil Valley Art Festival and more.
We encourage you to check out the reports of these activities in the student news page of this newsletter. There has been so much activity, we haven't be able to fit all reports in this edition. More will be communicated in the next edition early Term 3.
Semester 1 student reports will be available next week. We understand that some students have had signifcant interuption to their learning due to illness and many students have had significant interuptions to their specialists programs due to staffing absences.
We will be keeping a close eye on all students progress next term and will continue to communicate students progress.
It was great to see so many parents and carers at parent teacher interviews. We apologise to those that havent yet had an opportunity to meet or discuss their childs learning with their students teacher. Be assured this is a priority for early next term.
We know that we currently have some unfilled staffing allocations. As soon as our staffing picture becomes clearer we will communicate with families at the earliest conveniance.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable winter break. Take care.
Sincerly,
Principal Team.
