Principal Post

Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term 3!  I trust that the term break  gave some the opportunity  for a change of routine, and for families to be able to  spend valuable time with each other and friends!

We hope that Term 3 will be a most productive one for all within the community. As we begin the second semester we strive to ensure that our students will continue to do their best with their learning and set themselves small achievable goals. Of course our aim is for each child to demonstrate progress in their Literacy and Numeracy learning and within other areas of the curriculum. Our hope always is that students feel safe, happy and included here at SJV. Their wellbeing is vitally important to us all.

As a staff we are always wanting to work closely in partnership with parents. Please be in contact with teachers, and or leaders if we can assist in any way.

Year 6 Camp

Our Year 6 students and several staff left yesterday morning for Phillip Island Adventure Resort for the remainder of the week. From all reports and from Twitter we can see that all of the crew are enjoying their experiences!  Marg Klupacs and I will travel down to Phillip Island today.

Mini Parish School Fete - Saturday 22nd October

We will be having a Mini Fete to bring our community together.

SAVE THE DATE!!

It wont be as big as NEXT YEAR'S Fete but we will be bringing our school and local community together.

We are very much in the planning stages. We have a few parents across the school who have volunteered to be on our committee including three new prep parents!!!! If you would like to join the committee please email me. Our next meeting is Tuesday 26th July.

Whilst we have not finalised  which stalls we will be having on the day, we will be calling on parents to help out on the day.  More information will follow.

With all the OHS regulations  we also need some parents to volunteer some of their expertise and time. For example, we will need an electrician to oversee  our electrical work, food handler(s), a team to erect and anchor down  some marquees.  If you have particular skills or an idea please email me amullaly@sjvmulgrave.catholic.edu.au

Watch this space -  we hope to have a fun filled community event ON OCTOBER 22nd!
