Reports
Our Junior School Reports are being finalised and will be ready by Tuesday 28th June – the first Tuesday of School Holidays. Reports can be accessed via the HUB, in the Parent Portal: https://thehub.calrossy.nsw.edu.au/. It is a good idea to check that you can access this page, if not, please email itsupport@calrossy.nsw.edu.au for assistance.
Please note that the usual format for reports and interviews has changed, as outlined in the Parent Information Nights at the beginning of the year. Normally we have an interview straight after the reports are released. This will not occur as we have spread out the formal communication points across the year to provide more opportunities to connect with the progress and growth of your child. Interviews occur in Term 1 and 3 and Reports are delivered in Term 2 and 4. Please remember that at any time, you are welcome to meet with your child’s class teacher to discuss their progress. Teachers can be contacted on firstname.lastname@calrossy.nsw.edu.au
Junior School PDHPE Reports
The Junior School PDHPE Reports are slightly different from previous years and now reflect the changes we have made in implementing a new PDHPE programme, alongside a specialist PDHPE Teacher. There are three outcomes boxes, which reflect the following:
- Practical Applications – demonstration of theory concepts in the practical movement context, for example, active participation in games to promote lifelong physical activity, as well as students’ execution of movement skills. This grade is based on student performance in practical lessons undertaken with the PDHPE Teacher. Grade given by the PDHPE Teacher.
- Theory Concepts – knowledge and understanding of theoretical concepts from the NSW K-6 PDHPE syllabus, for example, the components of health and making healthy lifestyles choices. This grade is based on learning undertaken in the classroom context with the classroom teacher. Grade given by Classroom Teacher only.
- Relationships and Wellbeing – focusses on a student’s demonstration of personal and interpersonal skills during theory (classroom) and practical lessons (game situations) in PDHPE. Skills include but are not limited to: teamwork, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, decision making, problem solving, empathy, resilience, self-awareness and self-regulation. This grade is a shared grade, given by the classroom teacher and the PDHPE Teacher.
- Overall Achievement and Effort – these are based on both practical and theory lessons. Results are determined through consultation between the classroom teacher and the PDHPE Teacher.
