Calrossy Junior School
Over the last fortnight I have been delighted in the results our students have received in the Tamworth and surrounding region Eisteddfods. We were able to share the individual results in our Year 3-6 Assembly on Wednesday and it was lovely to hear from the diverse and talented performers we have at Calrossy. Eisteddfods are a wonderful way for our creative students to shine! Congratulations.
Our results for the group items are as follows:
Year 2 Choir: First
Junior School Choir: Third
Junior School Concert Band: First
Stage 2 Dance Group: First
Stage 3 Dance Group: First
This week in the Junior School we are looking at Patience. It is mostly aptly timed as we near the end of term and sometimes patience runs out. Perhaps a dose of patience will be needed over the holidays too. We’ve encouraged the children to think of patience in this way: Patience is waiting with a good attitude!
But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded. 2 Chronicles 15:7
Hot Tip: When do you, as an adult, have time to disconnect, switch off and do nothing? Total disconnection, no intentions, no goals, no exercises, no tasks, ‘peace time’. This time allows us to tap into our unconscious thoughts which allows us to make better decisions. Seems counterintuitive, but let your thoughts wander this week and see where some ‘peace time’ takes you. Adults need to look after themselves too – it makes us a better person, parent and human.
Have a wonderful holiday break, we look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday 18th July for Term 3.
