Senior School Subject Selection 

Subject Selection for the Senior School 2023 has commenced with students in Years 9, 10 and 11 attending Subject Selection Assemblies this week. At these assemblies students received a copy of the Senior School Subject Selection Handbook. Parents and students can access this resource on SIMON and on the Senior School Subject Selection Website - https://sites.google.com/sje.vic.edu.au/sjcsubjectselection/home.

Web preferences are now open for students in Year 11 to select their Year 12 program for 2023. Web preferences will close on Wednesday 3 August at 3.30pm. 

To assist students in Year 9 and 10 with the selection of their subjects and program for 2023, students received a copy of the Subject Planning Sheet and the Career Planning Sheet. Students are required to speak to their teachers about the subjects they are interested in studying in 2023 as well as research possible career options. This needs to be completed and submitted to the General Office by 9am on Wednesday 3 August. Once this is submitted, Web Preferences will be open for students in Year 9 and 10 to select their 2022 subjects on Wednesday 3 August and will close at 3pm on Friday 10 August.

Senior School Information Evening and Subject  Expo

We would like to invite all our Year 9 and 10 students along with their families to attend our Senior School Subject Information Evening and Expo on Monday 25 July, in the College Oak Centre.

This will be a great opportunity for students and families to learn all about our Senior School Program and talk to our teachers.

The program for the evening has been split into two sessions:

Session 1: 6.00 to 6.30pm: information presentation for our 2022 Year 10 students and parents followed by the Subject expo.

Session 2: 7.00 to 7.30pm:  information presentation for our 2022 Year 9 students and parents followed by the Subject expo.

July Parent Teacher Student Interviews

Our Parent Teacher Student Interviews will be held on Tuesday July 26 from 10am to 6pm.  As a COVID-Safe measure for our school community these meetings will be held via video conference. This is a student free day and no classes will be running, however students are encouraged to study or complete work offsite. Bookings can be made via the homepage on the parent portal (PAM) at: https://pam.sje.vic.edu.au

The purpose of these interviews is to provide an opportunity for students, parents and guardians to speak with staff about student progress in specific subjects and seek advice surrounding the upcoming subject selections for 2023.  It is also an opportunity for staff to inform parents or guardians of any concerns they may have about a student, discuss strategies for improvement, and reinforce positive learning patterns.  We ask that students also attend these interviews with their parents or guardians.
