Deer Park West Students are making 'Dragon Boats'

Our students are developing their cultural awareness by learning about the history and traditions of the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. Students are provided with opportunities to make their own ‘Dragon Boats’. As you can see in the photos, students have been highly engaged in this learning activity. Your child can explain how they made their boat and they can tell you the history and story behind this festival when they come home with their ‘Dragon Boats’.
