TEENS + CAMP MINISTRY
Camp, where God meets you, stretches and inspires you and transformation happens. Where faith is deepened through the mixture of meeting new people, hanging out with inspiring leaders who have a vibrant faith and living in a community with each other.
Camp is a place where the presence of God can be felt in a real and tangible way through others. Young people often report a camping experience as a turning point for them in the formation of their faith.
Research shows that parents continue to be the single greatest influence on their children’s faith. It is vital parents take an active part in the faith formation of their children. Allow them to experience all that camping ministry has to offer and share in the journey by talking to them about the experience before and after camp.

Belonging grows when young people are shown that their church family cares about them and that their faith journey is important. Research shows us that young people are looking for authentic and caring relationships. You will be amazed at how this intentional communication will impact your congregation as your young people feel valued.
SHARING OUR FAITH
Unfortunately, many parents feel ill-equipped to pass along their faith to their children. It is sometimes difficult to know where to start, especially when it comes to our teens. If faith conversations aren’t natural in your house, here are some tips that might help.
On behalf of the Lutheran Church of Australia (Grow Ministries) and the Converge Oceania team, we ask you to invite young people to take part in this ground-breaking research project. They can participate if they live in Australia and are aged between 16 and 20 years of age.
YOUR STORY – explores the spiritual experiences, beliefs and influences that are shaping the faith of young people. Whether they believe or don’t believe in God, religion or spirituality, we would love to hear their story – the deep story about who they are, what they believe and how they have come to hold these beliefs. The survey will be open until August 5, 2022.
