Feedback on Learning Tasks: how is my child going? 

To foster a strong culture of learning growth, Doncaster Secondary College provides regular and detailed feedback to parents and students using Flagged Learning Tasks, Student-Led Conferences and Semester Reports. Feedback enables students to recognize their strengths and identify areas for improvement. Regular feedback strengthens the bridge between assessment and learning and guides our teachers to adapt their strategies to ensure students’ learning needs are met.  

Within the next week teachers will post new results and comments in Flagged Learning Tasks on Compass. All parents and students are to review these learning tasks. It is very beneficial for students to reflect on their work and place some comments in the conversation box of each task.

Semester Reports 

These will be available on Compass on July 17th. These reports just give a summary of key assessments. The Flagged tasks mentioned above are most valuable for continuous reflection and improvement.
