Library News

As we move into a period of rest and celebration, our College Library would like to thank our students, staff and parent community for their continued support during 2022.

This year has seen our College Library condensed from a large P-12 community space to have it now running in its temporary tiny space at the end of the Primary Campus, whilst waiting for the new library build.

Thanks to everyone’s flexibility, we have been able make sure all classes from Year 2-9 have been able to enjoy library borrowing sessions each week with Prep-1 students participating in Storytime as well.

Over this year, library staff have been concentrating on our College values within the library space. It has been a pleasure to see our community display respect, take responsibility, show resilience and do the best they can under difficult space restraints. We have had some fun activities which have included Where’s Wally’s Brother, Star Reader Program, Staff Picks, Book Week Activities and Prize Giveaways. Students have also had great input into new book recommendations for 2023 and the new library.

We thank you once again for enjoying our library and taking the moment to reflect on 2022 and the enormous contribution a school library makes to learning and teaching.

We wish you and your families a wonderful and safe Christmas season and look forward to seeing you all into 2023.
