Meet our wonderful teachers...
Hello SMPS Families,
My name is Jess Hobbs. I have been teaching at SMPS since it opened 5 years ago. It is a pleasure to come to work every day and be immersed in the wonderful culture of SMPS.
I absolutely adore my Cockatiel named Rafa. He loves to play with his toys, munch on his bird food and tweet away at the sounds in the environment.
I enjoy going to the gym, reading books and eating lots of yummy food, especially pizza and anything made with Nutella! Sometimes, those two foods can be combined to make a delicious Nutella pizza!
I hope you have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to seeing you all next year.
Hello SMPS community,
My name is Miss Shir Chi and I will be teaching Grade 2B in 2023. I graduated from my Master of Teaching (Primary) course in 2022 and this will be my first year in teaching. I am excited to start my teaching journey with SMPS and I look forward to getting to know all the SMPS students and their families.
I grew up in Malaysia with my parents and three sisters, until I moved to Melbourne in 2016 and this is where I stayed ever since. Before studying to become a teacher, I often volunteered at an after-school tutoring program – which is where I found my passion for teaching!
Outside of school, I enjoy curling up on my couch and reading or watching food-related TV series. I also love to eat, bake, play board games, and visit new dessert places with my friends.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and I look forward to starting an amazing year at SMPS!
Hi SMPS families,
My name is Miss Nadeeka and I will be teaching 2C in 2023. This will be my 9th year in teaching and my 5th year at SMPS. I love coming to work each day and being surrounded by the lovely SMPS community.
I was born in a small rural town in Sri Lanka and moved to Australia when I was three years old. I love hiking, reading and gardening. Whenever I get the chance, I grab my tent and head out exploring. Warming my hands near a campfire and watching the stars come out in the evening are two of my favorite things.
I am looking forward to another wonderful year at SMPS and getting to know you and your family. Have a safe holiday and see you in 2023!
