Senior School News
Welcome back to a new school year. I trust you all had a lovely and relaxing holiday break. It was fantastic to welcome back so many smiling faces this week. Students have been eagerly getting to know their new teachers, classmates and classrooms. Our first week of school has been dedicated to ‘Setting the Climate’. In every classroom, students have been setting up their behavioural and learning expectations, creating learning journals, discussing how to be resilient and respectful students and working on School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS). ‘Everyone at BFPS works together to create a safe, respectful and welcoming learning environment so everyone can reach their full potential’. This mission statement has guided the SWPBS work that has been happening in all classrooms. Students have practised what it means to be Safe, Respectful, Resilient and Honest students at the school. The importance of these lessons, in setting up classroom expectations, will set the tone for the remainder of the year. I look forward to what 2023 brings for all our students and their families.

Welcome back! We are so excited to let you know that this year we will be helping your little one with our fun, engaging and evidence-based literacy program, Little Learner Love Literacy.
What can you expect?
We teach with Little Learners Love Literacy – a structured and explicit phonics program with engaging multisensory activities. It is carefully sequenced in seven stages to teach children the 44 sounds of the English language.
The Foundation students students have been having a fantastic time learning about the 'm' sound and meeting Milo the Monkey.
