Student Free Day in Preschool

Our professional learning session on emergent literacy  supported our Quality Improvement Plan goal to improve children’s ability to engage in reciprocal conversation, expressing and extending ideas and knowledge. The focus was on 'Intentional and Playful approaches' from implementing EY Heggerty to modelled reading focusing on Phonological awareness.  Further planning at this week's staff meeting has strengthened our process of intentionally planning for phonological awareness skills to be a part of our programming.
