CHANGE OF LOCATION
Year 5 Excursion - West Barwon Reservoir in Forrest
Due to the blue/green algae at Lake Bullen Merri, the Year 5 excursion has been changed to the West Barwon Reservoir in Forrest. Students will travel by bus to explore the beautiful Otway’s. They will walk to Lake Elizabeth, participate in some games and for children interested in fishing, there is the opportunity to fish off the Barwon Reservoir wall. A BBQ lunch will be provided on the day, so if your child does not like a BBQ they will need to bring along their own lunch. Students need to wear their sports uniform, school hat and bring along their fruit, snacks and a drink bottle. Those students interested in fishing will need to bring along their fishing rod. We would like rods to come to school before Friday, so that they are prepared and ready for the day (please bring them to the gym). We do need parents (who have a current Working With Children Check) to assist with cooking the BBQ and to help with the fishing on the day, please indicate on PAM your availability.

Library End of Year
How lovely it has been to have the children coming to the library consistently all year but I cannot believe that the year is coming to an end already. We were lucky to add a lot of new books to our library this year and I know the children have enjoyed borrowing these as well as many of the old favourites. This week will be the childrens last borrowing week for the year. The children will then need to have all books returned to the library by their library lesson next week. We have been checking the children's borrowing and most have only their recent borrowing although there are a few who continue to forget to return their overdue books. I will be sending lists home next week if there are still books that have not been returned.
Thanking you - Yolanda McVilly
Our Foundation to Year 2 classes were fortunate to watch some Trinity students in the String ensemble who visited to perform and to encourage an appreciation for stringed instruments in our children.

WE ARE SUNSMART
When it comes to using sun protection, temperature isn't a good guide. You can’t see or feel UV but UV is the part of the sun that can damage skin and eyes and lead to skin cancer. SunSmart advises that Victoria’s UV levels start to rise from mid-August.
Please remind your child to pack their hat. For SunSmart information visit https://www.sunsmart.com.au/communities/parents
UNIFORM SHOP WILL BE OPEN ON FRIDAY'S BY AN APPOINTMENT
Please call our office at anytime to schedule an appointment on a Friday during Uniform shop hours. If you are unable to attend on uniform day, Richelle will still be available to take your orders by phoning on a Friday during our Uniform shop hours which are 10am - 12noon. From there you will place your order and payment will be made at that time. All orders will be packed and sent home each Friday with your child.
Alternatively, you can download the order form from our website or your PAM account via ‘knowledge bank’. Complete the form and send it with the correct money with your child or phone for payment on Friday.
If sizing is an issue, you are able to send clothing back (still with tags) and it will be swapped over for you...children are unable to be called up to office to be sized for clothing without a parent/guardian in attendance.
We thank you for your cooperation.
