Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) Storytelling Showcase 2022 Awards

Congratulations to Grade 6 student Ember Skye-Conolon from Grade for being shortlisted for the annual CET Storytelling Showcase 2022 awards held last week. The requirement of this years storytelling showcase was to write a 100 word drabble (story) of choice.

Ember was awarded a fabulous Highly Commended award in the Grade 5/6 division which was the largest participated age group statewide.

This is Ember's 100 word drabble called Being Used.

Being Used

Today was atrocious!I have been used more than ever today!

People keep making me do things for them and fixing their mistakes! It's just so tiring always helping others. I want it to stop. Someone took me away from the teacher earlier to make me fix their errors. More and more people passed me around the room like I'm a little sponge cleaning up messes! Then everyone else did the same. All of this moving is making me so, so nauseous. I just can't stand it anymore! I've become so stubby and miniscule. I just despise being a rubber.

Parent Survey

We encourage families to complete our 2023 Family Survey. Every year we survey parents about their experience at John Paul II Catholic School.  This really helps our planning for future years and allows us to create the best possible school environment.  Thank you in advance for filling out the 2023 Family Survey.
