Performing Arts

Christmas Celebration Evening:

Historically, it is either very hot or pelting with rain on Carols Night and this year was no exception. Despite the pouring rain and a little shuffle in plans, the Christmas Celebration evening on Monday night was a wonderful success enjoyed by many. Many people contributed to the planning and running of the event.

To our families, thank you for coming to the Christmas Celebration Evening and supporting our Arts programs throughout this year.

Thank you to our School Captains, Jasmine and Lacey, and our School Vice Captains, Lily and Zoe, for hosting the evening.

Thank you to all the staff for working the BBQ and Canteen and their support of the evening.

Thank you to the ES staff and Art Captains for assisting with the Art Show preparation.

Thank you to Jacinta Parolo and P&F for their organisation of the market, food, raffle and Santa’s visit)

Thank you to Santa for visiting.

Thank you to the Mooroolbark College students for their musical entertainment during the Art Show.

Thank you to Viv and Andrew from Mooroolbark College for their work preparing our brass students and to the brass students who performed.

Thank you to Matt Stone and our Noisecraft Studios music students for providing entertainment during the Art Show.

Thank you to Belinda Granger for her incredible work preparing the Art Show and for her ongoing support.

Performing Arts Captains:

A special thank you to Xander and Kyra not only for hosting the Carols Concert, but also for their fantastic work hosting Performing Arts events throughout the year. They are both wonderful role models and leaders and I am grateful for everything they have done to support the Performing Arts program this year.

Brass Ensemble:

After only ten lessons, our trombone and trumpet students performed as the Rolling Hills Primary School Brass Ensemble for the first time, opening Mooroolbark College’s Summer Concert last Monday evening. The students’ performance was met with wild applause and awe at what they had been able to achieve in such a short period of time. Well done to these students, we are very proud of you.

On behalf of our students, I would like to thank Viv and Andrew from Mooroolbark College who have so generously given their time and enthusiasm this semester. We are grateful for the opportunity that has been offered to our school. Thank you to all the families who attended the concert in support of our students and thank you also to Mrs Rachel Asbury for her fantastic photos of our students.

Congratulations to our Brass Ensemble – Lacey, Connor, Amber, Grace, Will, Seth, Hurley, Leilah, Riley, Logan, James, Kyah, Dillon, Callan and Adelaide
