Victorian School of

Languages

The Victorian School of Languages is a government school committed to the provision of language programs for students in Years F to12 who do not have access to the study of those languages in the mainstream schools in all education sectors. The school offers over fifty languages through both face-to-face teaching in centres across the state and through distance education.

The Victorian School of Languages has established a centre in Ballarat which is located at Ballarat High School, Sturt St West and offers the following languages for students in Years F-10: Chinese, Japanese, Punjabi and Telegu.

Classes are held on Thursday nights between 4.30 pm and 7.30 pm and in order to assist with course costs, a small annual contribution is appreciated: $80.00 in Years F to 10.
