End-of-year Mass - a time to reflect and celebrate

Our end-of-year Mass was held at Christ the King Church, St Mel's Parish, on Thursday and what a beautiful community celebration it was to close the school year, as students, staff and families gathered in this season of Advent to give thanks and reflect on another year of learning at St Anne's College. Always a highlight, the nativity was beautifully presented by our Foundation children on the church altar and the voices of our students singing Christmas carols lifted our spirits and tugged on the heartstrings.

Celebrating with song in the lead-up to Christmas

After many hours of enthusiastic singing practice, our students finally took to the stage on Thursday evening to perform for their families and staff who gathered for our annual Christmas community picnic concert. It was a beautiful community event, with the School of Wonder children and members of the St Anne's College production cast proudly sharing their talents in front of those

who gathered on picnic rugs and chairs on the lawn to enjoy their dinner while watching the performances. Christmas carols, production numbers and the story of 'La Befana' were shared in a joyous atmosphere.

Thanks to the staff who supported the students to prepare for the concert, in particular Ellie Phillips, Linda Alampi and Sean O'Brien, and a huge thank you to the Spadaro family for generously supplying the truck trailer that was used as the stage on Thursday evening. We wish all of our families a happy, safe and blessed Christmas!

Please donate to Giving Tree Gift Card Drive

Each year at St Anne’s College during Advent we like to focus on doing something to support those within our community who need our support.

This year we would like to support the St Vincent de Paul Society to provide gift cards for people within our community in need. If you can and wish to donate, please provide a gift card. Please note, gift cards containing suppliers of alcohol are not accepted. This is applicable also to the multi-store gift cards.

Gift cards can be sent to school with students and given to college reception staff. In the last week of school, the gift cards will be given to St Vinnie's for distribution before Christmas.

What a wonderful way to share the spirit, joy and hope of the Christmas season.
