And that's my family story!

Our parents were born in the same year, one month apart but in different countries. Mum was born in Malaysia, her family moved to Australia when she was two. Our Kong Kong (Grandpa) studied in Sydney and decided that Australia offered better opportunities for his family.

Mum has an older brother, Uncle Daniel, who is a Corporate Lawyer and works for the Global Fund in Switzerland. Mum first lived in Glen Waverley and went to Montessori Kindergarten in Mt Waverley. She started school at Wesley College but shifted to Caulfield Grammar in Grade 3 because they needed more girls. Her family moved to Wheelers Hill and lived off Petronella Avenue where she walked to school and bought 1c lollies at the milk bar.

Dad was born at Waverley Private Hospital, where we were born. He has two younger brothers. Uncle Trent is a builder and Uncle Glenn does special effects for movies. Dad first lived in Glen Waverley, then moved to Wheelers Hill. Dad was a founding member of Jells Park Kindergarten where we both went. He started school at Wheelers Hill Primary because JPPS was very new. Dad moved to Caulfield Grammar in Grade 6 where he met Mum. Dad said it was love at first sight but Mum is not so sure!

Mum studied at Monash University, she is an Accountant and used to work in the city but stopped working when Emma was born. Now she works for Active Monash and her office is at the swimming pool in Glen Waverley. Dad is a commercial pilot and he flies a private jet for business people and celebrities. He travels all around the world but his favourite place is at our holiday house in Lakes Entrance where we go boating, fishing, swimming and water skiing.

We love going on road trips and our last adventure was exploring the gold mines in Bendigo. This year we have holidayed in Lakes Entrance, Tasmania and Singapore.

Emma wants to be a politician when she is older. Hot-dog, aka Zoe, is currently undecided. We both enjoy dancing and swimming classes and we play softball.

Our names are Emma H (6J) and Zoe H (4K) and that’s our family story.
