Performing Arts

Term 3 Learning

This term in Performing Arts we are focusing on DRAMA! Students in levels 3-6 are beginning to create their own plays in class that they will be performing at the end of the term to their class mates. Some creative and exciting ideas are already happening and we’ve only just started writing our scripts! Students in Foundation – level 2 are exploring drama through different activities that get them up and moving, and becoming characters from different stories and fairy tales.

Up-Coming Events

This term we have our Jells Park Primary School Performing Arts Showcase happening on the 9th August. At the Showcase, there will be acts from solo and duets, as well as from our Wakakirri students, Senior Choir and Aerobics team.

It’s sure to be a great night of entertainment, and keep an eye out for photos and a recap in the next newsletter!

We also have the Performing Arts assembly coming up towards the end of August on the 27th. This will be run by our Performing Arts Captains and is guaranteed to include some fantastic performances from some of the students.
