In Humanities and Inquiry our Year 8 students have completed a thorough and comprehensive project about the Liveability of South Morang. It involved looking at and analysing data about our Community through the lenses of liveability factors eg. Environment, Infrastructure, Safety etc...

They then created infographics about vulnerable groups within our community and the problems they faced. They also attended Whittlesea Tech School at Melbourne Polytechnic and worked with the educators there to develop ideas about inclusive design. The students created storyboards, developed prototypes and completed 3D printed objects of their inclusive design ideas.

Finally they wrote reports on how to include vulnerable groups into public spaces and community services- using all their own ideas on how to improve The City of Whittlesea.

We presented this work at The ACU Kids Conference this year and students did an amazing job!
