Year 5 Camp
In reviewing the Mission pages of our upcoming 2017 Collegian, I became aware of the many opportunities that students are given to learn new skills, work as a team, follow passions and to just give something a go. The life of students in a college community can be looked at through several lenses. Yes, education is compulsory. However, what students experience through friendships and relationships, the successes and the challenges both inside and outside the classroom and the sense of belonging to a faith community, all contribute to the tapestry of their life. As Years 5 and 8 head off to camp and Year 10 prepare for their first Reflection Day at Oxford Falls we wish them enjoyable experiences that will hopefully create long lasting memories.
Thank you to Mr Blake and the many teachers who are supporting Project Compassion. Homeroom tallies are slowly rising but please continue to give generously.
Our next College Mass will be in the Christian Brothers Chapel on Tuesday 13th March at 8am. Thank you to Mr Balboa’s Year 10 Religion 2 class who will host this Mass.

LENTEN REFLECTIONS: The Grace of Forests
Our weekly discussions are running until Easter for all students and staff. They are held on Monday lunchtimes in the Christian Brothers Chapel.
The discussions centre around breaking open the Gospel word and contemplating and meditating on the beauty and fragility of our Australian native forests. Inspired by the weekly Gospels of Lent and the Stewards of Creation theme that Creation is a gift from God.
