Sub Schools
Junior Sub School
Term 2 has started in a most positive manner in Year 7 and 8. With slight interruptions in the first and second week timetable, students have jumped into their learning.
Parent / Teacher Conferences
With such a great turnout from both Parents and Students, our Parent / Teacher Conferences were extremely successful. Parents are reminded that if they were unable to catch Teachers they were planning to see, they should contact the school to make an appointment. It is important to know that these conferences are a great opportunity for parents, teachers and students to meet and greet, discuss progress, answer and ask questions.
Athletics are coming up with Year 7 and 8 filling many of the events. Big step up for Year 7 with more events available for students to participate in.
ANZAC Day
All students in Year 7 and 8 are to be congratulated for the respect they showed to ANZAC Day. The assembly demonstrated that students are aware of the importance of the day and the relevance to their learning about history, traditions and respect. Congratulations again to all students for how they conducted themselves in this event.
Middle Sub School
Term 2 is a busy term for students and staff in the Middle School. Progress reports have been issued for students and we encourage you to discuss these with your child. If you have any concerns in regards to your childs’ progress please contact the sub-school. Students will also be asked to reflect on their reports during Tutorial classes and to set goals for Term 2. The sub-school will be reviewing reports and organising meetings with students who may be at-risk.
Year 9 Camp Reminder
There is a Year 9 Camp to Phillip Island Adventure Camp on the 15th to 17th May. The cost is $265. A note has been sent home with Year 9 students and is attached to the news feed on COMPASS. Can you please return the permission slip and the deposit ASAP.
The purpose of the camp is to improve connection to teachers and peers.

Homework Club
Homework club will be continuing this term to help support students in their learning. This runs after school on Wednesday and Thursday until 4:30 in the Research and Support Centre. It is supported with teachers and support staff to help provide more one-on-one support. Teachers may ask students to attend if they are falling behind in their studies.
STARR VALUES
The college is currently focusing on the value of teamwork as part of the college’s STARR values. We are encouraging students to develop their understanding of the value of teamwork and how this can impact their learning in the classroom. Students will receive STARR awards for demonstrating teamwork throughout the college.
