Father's Day Thank You

Thankfully the rain and clouds stayed away for the annual Father's Day Breakfast last Friday.  Over 400 dads, uncles, grandfathers and boys attended the breakfast where we served what appeared to be record numbers of bacon and egg rolls, coffee, juice and muffins in two hours!

Thank you to the mums who coordindated the volunteers, and to all the mums - and to James, Peter, Wade and Nigel - who volunteered throughout the morning.  We really appreciate your time and help.

P&F Committee - Re-election of Members at AGM on 5th November

As mentioned over the last 6 months the majority of the current P&F Committee will be finishing up at the end of this year. Thus it is time to welcome in a new Team and Committee Members.

The P&F is an integral part of the school community, supporting many activities your son(s) participate in throughout the year, such as the Kokoda Expedition, Boxercise, Robotics, PAPA and Science Competitions  to name a few.  Without the P&F many initiatives that your son participates in cannot continue to be supported.

Being part of the P&F Committee is flexible & fun. It requires only four meetings per year, 1 per term, and a handful of events over the course of the year, thus you can volunteer to any capacity that suits your busy lives. Being a committee member is a rewarding way for parents to be more involved in the College, meet new people, and to have a direct say in the decisions and outcomes of the P&F, representing all parents of the College and contributing to the College and the students, and conducting social activities for the parents.  The team is assisted by a significant number of volunteers from within the school community who help out at each event, making it a productive, social and satisfying way of being involved in the school community.

Roles that will become Vacant at the AGM and require new volunteers:

  • Vice President – currently Rodger Paino (Year 12)
  • Assistant Secretary – Nadine Robson (Years 11 & 8)
  • Social Committee – Vacant
  • Communications Team – Viv Raynor (Year 12), Nadine Robson (Years 11 & 8) and
  • Rodger Paino (Year 12)

Existing Committee members who will re -nominate, but positions are still open to other nominees:

  • President – Braelen Zwart (Years 12 & 8)
  • Secretary – Sarah Gillard (Year 7)
  • Treasurer – Thomas Lau (Year 6)

***  All Parents are urged to consider getting involved ***

Please feel free to contact any of the representatives to discuss roles and get an understanding of what is required.
