Passion to help brings students together

St John Cadets
St John Cadets is an active youth program for everyday kids. Whilst the emphasis is on first aid you’ll also develop leadership and social skills through the programs and activities St John has to offer. But most of all being a St John Cadet is about having fun!
There is a lot more to being a St John Cadet than first aid. St John provides you with many opportunities and recognises your achievements. At St John we have a lot to do and we need bright and energetic young people just like you to join our fantastic team.
In Cadets you can:
- form new friendships with other young people
- join others in team activities
- give time and effort to help others
- experience a sense of achievement through personal success and community service
- learn about accepting responsibility
- learn skills for life
- have fun!
How do we describe St John Cadets? It's like trying to explain colour; we all see the same thing but interpret differently - fun, excitement, happiness, determination. We bring out the best in each other while helping others and never put anyone down . Currently, there are 12 members in our group here at Cecil Hills High School - anyone is welcome to join or try it out. We learn new skills, make friends, and go to duties and camps and it's lots of fun. It's just beautiful to watch us grow from a small group of students to a community of people with a burning passion; like watching a flower bloom in the spring.
We've got members from such a variety of backgrounds, including Serbian, Indian, Chilean, Maltese, Vietnamese, South African, Turkish etc. Want to know more - just ask any one of us or check out this St John Cadet page
