A day in the life of Education Support

My name is Tamara Oldcastle and I am part of the Integration Team at Woodend Primary School.  I am glad to have a chance to share with you, what my normal day at WPS looks like. I work closely with many children from different areas of the school to support them with their educational needs. Some of the things I do under the supervision of teachers, to make this happen are:-

• Be a positive role model
• Monitor how students are progressing
• Help students look outside the box to think of ways to solve problems and achieve their best outcomes
• Work with small groups of students to help them fully understand topics being covered in class

I learn from these students every day and I would be hard pressed to find a more rewarding career.
