Assistant Principal's Report

We are all looking forward to another colourful show of school and House spirit at Brauerander Park on Friday. This year we are extending an invitation to the College community to our carnival to celebrate the day with us. We hope to have seen many of you there enjoying our special marquee, whilst cheering on your student in a different environment.

The new school uniform suppliers now offer a series of different styles and cuts of uniform designed with different body shapes and types in mind. Additionally, there is no set uniform for the College and as long as students are warm and comfortable this is all we are concerned with. Students can wear uniform items in any arrangements as long as they are Warrnambool College logo items. We feel that this allows students to have a sense of identity and personality with the way that they dress.

Our Year 7 & 8 camp numbers are now finalised; it is great to see so many students getting involved. Our camps are a wonderful way for students to build connections with others in the school. Please ensure you have returned the dietary and medical forms to the office.

Last week was Academy sign ups. There is a wide variety on offer this year, with something to suit everyone (chess, choir, music, musical, rock band, public speaking, debating, cooking, art, basketball, surfing, open water swimming, cricket, football, soccer, netball, table tennis). If your student missed out on the sign up, there may still time. Please send them along to the General School Office and they can still sign up f. This is another great way to make connections across year levels and House groupings.

Finally, don’t forget our school musical. Hairspray information sessions have been held this week and audition callouts have been made. If you missed any of the information, everything is available on Compass Newsfeed from Kerry Cheeseman.
