Public Speaking
Warrnambool Speech and Drama Eisteddfod Entries NOW OPEN!!!
Being involved in the Warrnambool Speech and Drama Eisteddfod is a great way to build confidence, enhance public speaking skills, or have a go at poetry readings, acting and all manner of reasons to get up on stage and showcase student talent.
Students can pick up an Eisteddfod program and entry form from the main office or from Ms. Lumsden/Cavanough who you will find in old library area while building works continue. All entries must be returned and paid for by March 29th at the LATEST!!!
Despite the event not being held until the end of May, the Eisteddfod committee need the entries in term 1 and NO late entries will be accepted. There is a $7 or $8 fee for each section. This cannot be paid via Compass so ask your child to pay this directly to main office when they return their entry form. I have also placed all documentation on Compass.
Lions Youth of the Year Program
Congratulations to Tiffany Tracey (Year 12 Logans House) who recently represented our college yet again in the second round of the Lions Youth of the Year program. Tiffany was the overall winner at the Warrnambool Lions Club Final and then went on to represent both the college and the Warrnambool Lions Club at the District Final on Sunday 24th March. Tiffany won the Public Speaking component of the competition. Both her Impromptu and Prepared speeches were outstanding impressing all three judges who were literally spellbound at her poise and confident delivery. Her speeches were delivered without cue cards!
