From the Principal

Dear Blue Mountains Grammar School Community,

As I reflect on the past few weeks, I am filled with admiration for the spirit and commitment shown by our wonderful community. Witnessing how our collective efforts generate such meaningful and heart-warming experiences.

Firstly, I am grateful to all the staff and students who made our visitors from Nagoya, Japan, feel incredibly welcome. Our school exuded an atmosphere of warmth, and cultural immersion, which was gratifying to see. We had volunteers from the Junior School and our Senior School – a tribute to the community nature of our school. A special acknowledgment must go to our host families - your generosity and hospitality embody the values we hold dear at Blue Mountains Grammar School. Thank you also to Sensei Evans and Mr Forsyth.

Moving on to the public speaking event held in the Junior School, I was genuinely impressed by our young students' confident and thoughtful speeches. Their well-constructed arguments, impassioned positions, and respectful challenges were a joy to listen to. I congratulate the teachers and parents for their guidance and support. And, of course, a massive round of applause for the students themselves - your excellence shone brightly!

We are now approaching the business end of the ISA sports season. Our teams will compete again this weekend, demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship we've come to expect. Please check the draw and come along to support our athletes. Let's fill the sidelines with the energy and enthusiasm that our teams deserve!

I thank our team for the recent Art Camp to Bundanon. This opportunity stands as an example of the enriching experiences our school offers to extend our students' understanding and deepen their insight.

Lastly, our Year 12 students will commence their Trial HSC exams over the next two weeks. To each of you about to embark on this journey, remember that you are well-prepared and have the entire Blue Mountains Grammar School community behind you.

Our students, staff, and parents shared energy, passion, and commitment make Blue Mountains Grammar School an extraordinary place. I am grateful to be part of this dynamic and supportive community and look forward to sharing more exciting updates with you all.

Stay connected, stay inspired, and continue being exceptional!
