Subject Selection for 2024

Monday 17th July hosted the Futures Expo at both our Clyde North and Cranbourne campuses. Students in Yrs 8 to 10 spent the day being enriched by gaining in deapth knowledge about the many options available for the coming year.  In the afternoon families, parents and guardians were invited to speak with our Key Learning Area Coaches about subject options and listen to our curriculum experts about the learning framework for their children.  The presentations for the afternoon sessions are located on the Careers Expo SPACE page for those who missed them.

Subject selections interviews are underway for the Year 9 students and families with our Year 10 family meetings happening next week.  We remind students and families all subject selections need to be submitted through Web Preferences and will close on 1st August.

Questions can be directed to your campus Careers and VET Coordinator or your House Leader. Meeting times are available on campus or online to accommodate everyone through this period.

VET Programs for 2024.

St. Peter’s offers a broad range of VET in school courses on site and the costs of these programs is currently $100 per year.  View these courses in detail by clicking on the VET Faculty SPACE page.

There are a number of other providers in the region who also offer VET in School programs such as Chisholm Institute, Foundation Learning College and various local secondary schools. Please note there are much higher additional costs for these programs.  Some programs can cost up to $3,000 per year.

When selecting a VET in School program please be sure to consult the VET Faculty SPACE page which outlines all the courses available and a link outlining the costs associated this year.  We anticipate all external courses to slightly increase each year.

Again, please direct questions to your campus Careers and VET Coordinator
